Rendez™ is built on a simple belief: the best connection starts with a real plan. We connect people through specific, genuine invites — real plans, not profile browsing or endless scrolling — because showing up honestly is how real relationships begin. These guidelines exist to protect that experience for everyone here, whether you're looking for a date, a new friend, or a great afternoon with someone new.
Rendez is for adults 18 and older. That's a firm line — no exceptions.
We welcome everyone: all genders, all sexual orientations, all relationship intentions. Whether you're here to date, make friends, or find a companion for a specific plan, you belong here. Rendez is for individual people — not businesses, brands, or accounts created for commercial purposes.
Rendez is not available to individuals who are required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction, or who have been convicted of a felony or any crime involving violence or sexual misconduct.
Summary:
Rendez works because people show up as themselves. Authenticity isn't just a nice-to-have — it's what makes every connection on this platform possible.
Why this matters: The whole point of Rendez is meeting someone who signed up for exactly who you are. Misrepresentation doesn't just break trust — it wastes everyone's time and can put people in uncomfortable or unsafe situations.
Our invite-and-request model is built on a simple social contract: if you post an invite, you mean it. If you request to join someone's plan, you're serious. The community only works when everyone holds up their end.
Every invite you post must represent a plan you genuinely intend to follow through on. Fake, bait, or non-serious invites — posted to collect views or requests without any real intention of meeting — are prohibited. Invite authenticity is not optional; it is a core community value.
Life happens, and sometimes plans fall through. We understand that. But repeated late cancellations, no-shows, or cancellations made in retaliation against someone disrespect everyone's time and erode the trust that makes this community work. These behaviors are prohibited and will affect your standing on the platform.
Your Reliability Score reflects your attendance history over a rolling 90-day period and is visible to other users on your profile, on invite cards in the discovery feed, on the map, and in the request management screen. We designed it to help the community make informed decisions about whose plans to join. A few things to know:
Boosts and Commits are platform features designed to help genuine plans get noticed and signal real interest. Commits are available exclusively to Rendez+ subscribers. Misusing either feature — to spam other users, promote a fake or bait invite, or deceive anyone — is prohibited.
Because Rendez is built around real in-person plans, safety is something we take seriously — and something we ask the community to take seriously too. Rendez sets the stage; the community keeps each other safe.
Rendez does not conduct criminal background checks or verify users' legal identities. The photo verification step at onboarding confirms that your profile photo appears to depict a real person — it does not confirm your name, criminal history, or intentions. Please take the safety steps above seriously and use your own judgment in every interaction.
Because Rendez brings people together in person, behavior that happens at or after a Rendez-facilitated meetup matters to us — even if it happened off the app. If we receive credible reports of harmful conduct connected to a Rendez-facilitated meeting, we may take action on the account.
Rendez is a space where people are making themselves vulnerable by putting real plans into the world and inviting strangers into them. Treat that vulnerability with care.
Don't share another user's personal information — their address, workplace, phone number, or any other identifying details — without their consent.
Do not file false or bad-faith reports to harass another user or to trigger enforcement action based on who they are. Filing a report against someone because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristic — rather than because of actual conduct — is itself a violation.
Nudity and sexually explicit content are not permitted in profiles, invite descriptions, photos, or messages. This applies to all users.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. In the US, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) anytime, 24/7, or visit 988lifeline.org.
Content that a reasonable person would find grossly offensive — with no clear creative, educational, or informational purpose — is not appropriate for Rendez.
We may remove content that violates these standards. We may also restrict or remove accounts associated with repeated violations.
Some conduct goes beyond a guideline violation — it's illegal, and we treat it that way.
Using Rendez to recruit, control, exploit, or facilitate the transportation of people for forced labor or commercial sex is strictly prohibited. We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies investigating trafficking and will preserve and produce records as required by law.
If you believe you have encountered a trafficking situation, contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-888-373-7888 (24/7, confidential) or text “HELP” to 233733.
Any content that sexually depicts or exploits minors is strictly prohibited. This is not a graduated enforcement situation — there are no warnings, no second chances, and no appeals.
Rendez is legally required under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A to report apparent violations involving child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). We will report as soon as reasonably possible and permanently ban the account. Law enforcement will be notified through NCMEC’s CyberTipline.
Rendez is not a marketplace. Don't use the platform to advertise, sell products or services, solicit employment, recruit for a business, fundraise, or operate any kind of commercial account.
Don't use Rendez to advertise, solicit, or facilitate escort services, sugar dating, or any arrangement where companionship or intimacy is offered in exchange for money, gifts, or other compensation.
A healthy platform requires everyone to use it as intended.
Don't impersonate Rendez, its staff, or its official communications.
Multi-level marketing schemes, pyramid schemes, and political campaign solicitation are not permitted on Rendez.
Most violations are addressed through a graduated process: a warning, followed by a temporary suspension if the behavior continues, followed by a permanent ban. The severity of the violation and the history of the account both factor into how quickly we move through these steps.
The following violations result in an immediate, permanent ban with no prior warning and no appeals process:
As noted in Section 4, harmful conduct that occurs in connection with a Rendez-facilitated meeting — even away from the app — may result in enforcement action.
If you believe a non-zero-tolerance enforcement action was taken in error, you may submit an appeal to safety@getrendez.com. We will review good-faith appeals, but Rendez’s decisions are final. Reliability Score decisions are not subject to appeal — see Section 3 for more information.
We use our best judgment in every enforcement decision, and we make the final call. No two situations are identical, and we can't commit to a specific outcome in every case — context matters, and acting one way in one situation doesn't mean we're required to act the same way in every similar situation. We're not liable for failing to take action on any particular report, and we don't guarantee that every piece of reported content will be reviewed or removed. If you think we got something wrong, the appeals process is how you tell us.
If you see something that doesn't belong on Rendez, please tell us.
Use the Report button on any profile or message to submit a report directly within the app. In-app reports are the fastest way to flag a concern.
For urgent safety concerns, contact us at safety@getrendez.com. For copyright and intellectual property matters, contact legal@getrendez.com.
We treat all reports as confidential. We will not share your identity with the person you reported. We may not always be able to share the outcome of a report — but we take every report seriously and aim to review each one.
Our reporting tools exist to protect the community. Filing false or bad-faith reports — to harass a user, trigger enforcement action, or manipulate outcomes — is itself a violation of these guidelines and may result in account action.
Rendez strictly prohibits use of the platform to advertise, solicit, facilitate, or promote sex trafficking or prostitution. This prohibition applies to all users and all content on the platform.
We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies investigating these crimes. We will preserve and produce records as required by applicable law, including in response to lawful process.
If you encounter any content or conduct that you believe involves sex trafficking or sexual exploitation, report it immediately using the in-app report feature or by emailing safety@getrendez.com.
Rendez respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. Don't post content you don't have the right to share — including photos, text, music, or other copyrighted material belonging to someone else.
If you believe content on Rendez infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our registered agent:
DMCA Agent: Diego Calderon
Email: legal@getrendez.com
Mail: Rendez Inc., Attn: DMCA Agent, 440 N Barranca Ave #5494, Covina, CA 91723
Your notice must include the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), including identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material and its location on Rendez, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, and a statement of accuracy made under penalty of perjury.
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you at least 14 days before the updated guidelines take effect — through in-app notification, email, or both.
Continuing to use Rendez after the effective date of updated guidelines constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you disagree with updated guidelines, you may delete your account at any time through Profile > Settings > Delete Account.
These guidelines exist to protect the community — not to cover every possible scenario or serve as a substitute for good judgment. We ask everyone to approach Rendez in good faith: with honest intentions, genuine plans, and real respect for the people you meet here.
If you have questions about these guidelines or want to report a concern, reach out at safety@getrendez.com.
